Reselling
The typical example of reselling can be found on e-bay. We all know how it works: people buy products from producers or offer services, and then start reselling them to all e-bayers. The importance of e-bay is acknowledge with arising local web sites offering similar reselling techniques as e-bay. Of course, the market is more and more connected - via internet, you now have an opportunity to sell and buy products from anywhere in the world. Many times, when you have purchased from one seller before or when you know the product, you'd order, pay and receive. But other times, when you're trying to offer or buy something new, you need to get closer to your potential customers - either geographically or at least through the use of local language on the internet.
The art of reselling depends on the art of selling: if the seller manages to convince the customer about the quality of their products, the resellers will be able to convince further buyers. As your distributor will be authorized to sell your products, so will the reselling companies be. They might not neccessarily have an agreement with you directly, but will have a contract signed with your distributor, which will enable them to sell your products. Be careful about the terms with your new distribution company, as you have the right to know what is happening to your products on a certain market, sign a non-disclosure agreement first (just to ensure they won't go telling the world of your innovative products before you have them ready), after the initinegoiation, sign a term sheet in which you agree on the basic conditions of the reselling of your products, and finally, before the first shipment is delivered to your new distributor, you should have a full contract signed.
